Alright, so remember when I said that I would frequently update the ENA collection post occasionally? Well, I decided to go against it, mainly because I don't think it might notify anyone watching the post. That and also because I don't want to risk it anyway. :P
Hopefully, I get done with this collection by the 20th of June! (fingers crossed)
Nevertheless, I'm here to give y'all an update on that ENA art collection!
Status_Update #2 (6/17/25):
ENA Pic #1:
As of right now, the first ENA pic is somewhat finished with. All I need to do is to fix over some mistakes, add some more things to the background to make it more eye-catching, and add my artist signature on it!
ENA Pic #2:
Finished with shading the entire thing as well as adding some details to the card! Although, there might be a few mistakes that I need to fix, so I'll get to that later. The only thing I have to do next is to figure out what the background should look like.
The only thing that's in my mind right now is that perhaps I should either do:
(A. Find a decent enough screenshot from the game and paste it as the artwork's background [most easy on a productive scale, but most hardest considering how weak my laptop is running the game]),
(B. Go 'fuck it' and design a convincing enough background resembling that of in-game),
(C. Just make a custom background that shows no resemblance to the game and call it a day).
Currently, I'm going with option B., but I'll might have to do some research to accurately depict and draw the background (as much as I can). Otherwise, I'll just have to pick option C.
ENA Pic #3:
Now that I've finished the clean-up on the third ENA pic, I am able to discuss what I want to do for coloring, shading, background, etc.
For the coloring, I want to do something different with the third ENA pic in order to capture her "bizarre surrealism". I'll start with normal coloring like the last two pictures. However, for the cracked-open areas around her body, I'll use some contradicting color gradients in order to capture the surrealism. Is this somewhat against her original appearance from both the game and the teaser trailers? Yes. All that I wish to do is to give out my own interpretation on ENA's surrealism.
Shading, on the other hand, will be defined only by gradients. All I just need to do is to make sure it works properly.
For the background, I'll be doing it somewhat as the same as my first ENA pic. Furthermore, I could add some surreal effects around the artwork as well as adding some Japanese text (oh jeez) to the artwork, I guess.
