Alright it's been at least 2 weeks since my announcement of me making an 3-piece collection of art from ENA Dream BBQ; needless to say, I'll be using this post to show the progress of all three art pieces. I want to point out that I'll be uploading the artwork when ALL 3 art pieces are in a complete state and/or I am satisfied enough to post them.
I'll also might be updating this blog post frequently, so keep your heads up for that. Any constructive criticism is appreciated, btw! :)
Status_Update #1 (6/13/25):
ENA Pic #1:
For the first image, I chose to do soft shading with my older method of shading. Currently, I decided to continue on with the shading to correct any mistakes I've made, as well as making the form smoother with a new shading technique I've practiced. Furthermore, I'll try working on some mistakes with the shading (such as ENA's blue arm cuz it looks weird to me :P).
As for the fiery hole inside ENA's middle, I'll be experimenting with texturing the inside until I'm satisfied with the result to obtain more constructive criticism.
ENA Pic #2:
For the second image, I've recently finished with the clean-up and coloring. Funnily enough, I rarely sampled any colors from any reference pictures and instead opted to choose the base colors myself (I'm not saying ALL of the colors were chosen myself, a few of them were sampled from reference pictures).
Personally, I think it looks pretty decent, so decent, in fact, that I'll be proceeding with the shading phase for this image. Keep in mind, I won't be using the same shading method here as I am currently doing with the first one. I think all it needs is just some cel shading. But what do you guys think about what I should use for this picture?
ENA Pic #3:
As for the third image, I'm currently somewhere at the end of the sketching phase of the artwork; I'm still deciding whether or not to continue on with the clean-up with the entire thing. I've already done the clean-up on the hair and the hat out of boredom, but I still don't think I'm satisfied with the sketching yet. More specifically, I don't think the cracks and veins on her body looks "natural and decent enough". But what do you guys think? Do y'all think that it's good enough?
